The Japan Fashion Week 2010 in Tokyo was a big success. There were 50 brands on the list. This year a total of 30,332 people attended the events.

Although there were a lot more suits than usual, the cos-play girls and cape crusading boys of Japan Fashion Week brightened up the off the catwalk crowd. The male attendants in particular were incredibly interesting, from gold studded boots to tie-dye ponchos, forget the Harajuku girls, Japanese boys have got it goin in. That little solider boy with the green glasses? I would have put him in my pocket and taken him home, only that the sniffer dogs probably would have found him and then I would have ended up in an incredibly awkward episode of Border Patrol.

There was however, no sight of Nippon Vogue Editor At Large Anna Della Russo - and trust me, my eyes were peeled. I know she is probably resting her Louboutins after a tiring fashion month, but you would think that Japan Fashion Week would have been high on her agenda.

Misha Janette of The Japan Times was there to save the sartorial day. Each outfit was matched with feathered headpieces that got higher and higher as the week went on.
